本课适合5岁以上，家中有一定中文环境，能用中文进行简单日常对话的小朋友们。《马立平中文教材》学前班的安排，是通过儿歌教授汉字，使得初学汉字的一年级学生很容易入门。建议家中没有中文环境，不能听懂或会说简单日常中文的小朋友们注册CTE-1。

CTE-K(<6): This class is specifically designed for children in a non-native Chinese environment, 36 books with easy-to-read scripts and vivid illustrations that make learning Chinese fun and natural. Students will learn over 150 words covering 22 topics from a child's world, like family, friends, food, animals, home, school and more.

CTE-1(>=6): This course is designed for entry level Chinese students. Students will learn 80 commonly used words and related grammar patterns. They will be able to understand and use some of the most common Chinese phrases and sentences, possessing the ability to further their Chinese language studies.

CTE-2: Students will learn 150 commonly used words and related grammar patterns. They will be able to understand and use some simple Chinese phrases and sentences as well as engage in basic communications.

CTE-5: Students will learn 600 common words and related grammar patterns. Students are able to carry out basic communication tasks about life, study, and work, reaching an excellent level in basic Chinese.

This course is designed for entry level adult students. Students will learn 150 new words, related grammar, as well as the Pinyin pronunciation system which will enable students to meet basic communication needs and gain the ability to further their Chinese language studies.

Class Introduction

Mathcounts 6-7, the second most difficult competition math class at Bohua, will improve students’ existing knowledge about topics on algebra and geometry, while expanding on the fields of number theory, counting & probability, precalculus, and other difficult mathematical concepts. Students will be expected to have a solid foundation of prealgebra and prior algebra and geometry-related knowledge.

The age range for this class is 10-13. In class, students should bring paper, pen/pencil, and a calculator/ruler. 

Alex is a junior at Fairview High School in Boulder, CO. He has experience with Mathcounts (state team), AMC 8 (honor roll finalist), and the UNC math contest (final round qualifier). He also scored in the top 6% in the AMC 10. He’s most interested in the intersection of computer science and mathematics, working to expand IT access and leading events related to STEM and entrepreneurship. He has three years of experience working alongside students in the Mathcounts 6-7 class and is excited for the upcoming year.

教学内容包括：
1. 羽毛球基本技术：握拍法，发球，挑球，高远球，正手吊球，头顶滑板吊球，反手击球，网前技术（放网，搓球，推球，勾对角），杀球，劈杀，劈吊，抽挡技术。

2. 羽毛球基本步法：起动步，上网步法，后场步法，接杀步法，步法组合。

3. 羽毛球基本球路和练习。

4. 羽毛球战术运用：单打基本战术，双打基本战术，混双基本战术。

孩子年龄最好在12岁以上，8-12岁的孩子需要家长陪同。学生自带羽毛球拍（如果没有，见以下网购推荐），穿平底运动鞋和运动服装即可。

The Bohua Chess Club has a place for all of its members. Beginners will be taught the fundamentals of the game and chess basics, while intermediate to advanced players will learn about tactivs, opening, middlegame, and endgame strategy, and will dive deeper into game analysis and evaluation.

Sophia Duan is an eighth grade student at Summit Middle School and has been dancing for over 6 years in various genres. She began to focus on Chinese traditional dance as a student of Lily Han from Jasmine Flower Dance School in 2018. Sophia started to participate in a number of competitions and events in 2020, such as NBA Denver Nugget halftime shows, the Tao Li Bei World Dance Competition, KAR Dance Competition and more, later going on to compete in Irvine, California at a national level in 2020. Through these competitions and thanks to support and guidance of her teacher, she has won a number of first place and overall high score awards. Sophia would love to connect with kids who are passionate about dance and is looking forward to a great year with you!

This class is designed to improve a student’s understanding and quality of Chinese traditional dance, as well as introduce new beginners to the practice. We will work on the class’s flexibility, technique and fundamentals, new skills, as well as learn a group dance. The course is adaptive, and will take the skill level of the student and go on from there.

Please make sure the dancer’s hair is in a bun, and that they wear clothes that will not restrict their movement. Make sure to also bring dance / ballet shoes.

Fanshi Lu is a traditional Chinese arts performer. He is a student at Fairview High School. In 3rd grade, he started learning the Hulusi. Two years later, he won 1st place at an international CCTV music and art competition. Since then, he has been actively participating in many performances and competitions, whether local or abroad. Apart from the Hulusi, Fanshi is also a classical musician who is skilled in playing the piano, clarinet, and saxophone. He is in Fairview's marching band, and at his middle school, he had many impressive jazz solos. 

The Hulusi is a classical Chinese instrument that is easy to pick up yet fun and impressive to learn. They are only 30 dollars or so and are widely available at stores (like amazon).
